Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been in the business?
I have been in Forney since 1999 and have been in the Financial Services business since 1994. I have always been in the independent advisor world and have never worked in a wire house, or as a stockbroker, etc. where I was required to sell. Being independent allows me to do what is most appropriate for my clients and not what is best for the company. When you do business with me, you will never be passed on to a junior planner or newly licensed advisor.
Do you handle 401k Rollovers, IRA’s, and Roth IRA’s?
Yes, we manage rollovers from all types of employer accounts and can manage those assets with options that are suitable for you. We will take care of the entire process for you making the transition easy and as pain free as possible.
Are you a fiduciary?
Most of our compensation is Fee Based and is the preferred method by most of our clients and us as well. However, some of our clients choose not to use the fee-based structure so we have other alternatives. And in some instances, it is not always in the best interest of the client. We want you to do well. When you do well, we do well.
What are your credentials?
I have been licensed since 1994 and have accumulated many licenses since then. I currently hold Securities licenses consisting of Series 63,65,6,7 and 22. I hold Insurance licenses in Texas for Life, Health, Annuities, Long Term Care and Property and Casualty. In addition, I have the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERtm Designation and hold an Enrolled Agents designation allowing representation before the IRS.
How will you arrive at my asset allocation?
We tailor each client’s portfolio differently according to their age, risk tolerance, needs, timeline, goals, and any issue that may impact them financially, to meet their individual needs. We don’t use cookie cutter portfolios and no two portfolios are the same.
How often will you review and update my account?
We will review your account as often as possible and usually that falls on at least a daily, to weekly or monthly basis depending on the holdings in the account. Any updates or communications will be as needed but at least annually
